What am I thinking?

I volunteered to work the early shift at work on Friday.

Pros: Done by 1:15. (The shift starts at 4:45 AM.)

Cons: It's Black Friday, fer gawd's sake. Lines of people at the door, waiting for them to open at 5.

If I would've worked the evening shift, the trade off would've been empty store for last couple hours, but the place will be soooo messy...No easy choice here.

Happy consumering!

Posts almost written...(feel free to skip this one)

Felt rather angsty coming out of work tonight. On the drive home, I started composing in my head a lengthy blog entry about the exact circumstances which led to me coming home earlier this year, but you know what? Nobody wants to read that s#!+.

I'll just put the ending up here for your perusal: I still enjoyed living in Japan. I'd gladly work as an English teacher there if I could. But, since I was denied the chance to look for another English teaching job while I was still in Japan, it is now unlikely that I will be able to come up with the capital needed (plane tickets, key money, deposit, living expenses for the first two months) to start up again over there from here. Any job here that would allow me to earn that much money quickly would be one that I couldn't really afford to leave.

And yes, I am still bitter about being denied that chance.

If I had worked until the end of that last contract, I would've finished up the Tottori job about two weeks ago. I'm not sure how I would've survived until then. But I could've had that chance.
