The Only Electoral Map You'll Ever Need

It explains everything you'd want to know about the status of every state, including where they're high in the middle and round at both ends...

Pure, Distilled Essence of WRONG

That's right, Pepsi White. Pepsi and yogurt flavored drink. Two great tastes that in all probability were never ever supposed to be together.

I'm thinking that last year's celery-flavored Pepsi might still be tops in the weirdness category for Japan. Jones Soda still takes the World Championship trophy, though.

Chi's Sweet Home

Some background: Chi is a little kitten who, while out and about with her mother and siblings, was distracted by some birds...and when she looked around, they had disappeared.

So, she ran around looking for them, with no luck. Finally, she found herself in the middle of a park, where she collapsed from exhaustion. A little boy found her, and persuaded his parents to take her back to their (no pets allowed) apartment....

This episode is entitled "Chi has a horrible experience."

Apropos of nothing #7: Fun web toys

Found this while surfing politics threads. It's a web app that creates "word clouds" of any text you drop into it. The thread I was reading had one for each candidate in the 2nd Presidential debate.

Obama:

McCain:

I, being less ambitious, dropped one of my *ahem* anime fanfics into it.

Plus the Donna Lewis song that inspired the fic:

Give it a try. It's quite interesting.

Weird dreams.

I suppose I should be thankful for them, especially considering the period of time when I didn't dream at all...but last night's was damn weird. It involved moving-in day at St. Olaf, into a dormitory that was a weird cross between Thorson, Manitou (Ytterboe, I guess), and a shopping mall, and a bunch of old college friends/acquaintences that I haven't seen, thought of, or in fact remembered in years. One of which was someone on my frosh floor whom everyone hated...

I realized it was a dream when I noticed that I was far more suave and debonair than I actually was at the time. Or ever. And, since I noticed it was a dream, it's now lodged in my memory unlike most dreams I've had. But I seem to recall I've had similar dreams before.

Huh. No more cold pizza before bedtime, I think.

(This has been a POINTLESS BIT OF RANDOMNESS. We now return you to your regularly scheduled whatever.)
